Download and Share the FMA Poster (8x10 or 11x13 size) with friends and colleagues. Spread the word! A Future of Meat Without Animals is not only about animals raised for food; it is about climate, environment and wildlife as well. The Yale Project on Climate Change Communication has a number of research projects primarily addressing the various perceptions on climate change held by the American public and the various channels of information regarding climate change. This video shows six major American views of Climate Change, but also reiterates the simple, often misunderstood, consensus that 97% of climate scientists agree that climate change is due to human activity. Artist Adam Wolpa will be presenting a visual engagement with numerous contemporary artists on "Seeing Meat Without Animals: Attitudes for the Future." In addition to providing our conference image atop this page, Adam will also be displaying artifacts from his own show "Putting i It All Together." www.adamwolpa.com Christopher Carter will be presenting "Soul and Salsa: Moving Beyond (Animal) Meat" examining the potential obstacles that producers of vegan “meat” may face when trying to expand into the black and brown consumer markets, both in terms of marketing strategies and urban access. From Chris, "Ultimately I argue that in order for purveyors of vegan 'meat' to have long-term economic success in black and brown communities they must understand and address the identity politics that are embedded within the food culture of these communities."
